
ArtsPath is a regional arts-in-education program of Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s College of Fine Arts in partnership with the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. It is one of twleve throughout the state funded by the PCA. IUP’s Partnership currently serves a region including Armstrong, Butler, Indiana, and Jefferson counties and works to identify professionally active visual, performing, media, and literary artists. Through schools and community groups, the Partnership assists in placing these artists in schools for extended, in-depth residency activities. Further work of ArtsPath includes arts-in-education advocacy both regionally and state-wide, providing artist and eacher personal educational opportunities, and community outreach. ArtsPath is managed by the College of Fine Arts at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and is assisted by a consortium of egional partners including Indiana Arts Council, ARIN Intermediate Unit; Associated Artists of Butler County; Slippery Rock University College of Humanities, Fine, and Performing Arts; and the IUP College of Education and Education Technology as well as an advisory comittee of regional educators, education administrators, and community leaders.
