The following digital projects and exhibits highlight many of the Record Groups and Manuscript Collections housed in the Special Collections and University Archives at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. The collections represent prominent Pennsylvanians, people associated with the university, and important figures in American history. Many of the digital projects and exhibits are the product of student research.

- Elinor Gordon Blair Collection: Growing up on a College Campus, 1913-1927: Elinor Gordon Blair and Indiana State Normal School.
- Civil War Letters: 1861 to 1863 correspondence from Robert Alexander Lowry (1838-1862) and William Gustin Lowry (1836-1863) donated by Logan R. Moorhead (Manuscript Group 130). - Charles Darwin Collection: The Paul R. Hicks Memorial. Explore images and publications about naturalist Charles Robert Darwin (1809-1882), and learn about this publication available through the IUP Libraries online catalog.
- Fausold Family Collection: This collection was created in 1984 when Dr. Martin L. Fausold (1921-2008) donated the papers of his father, Samuel Fausold, to the Special Collections and University Archives at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Samuel Fausold (1888-1948) served as president of Indiana State Teachers College from 1936 to 1939. The Fausold Family Collection has grown to include many Western Pennsylvania documents from the colonial era to the present, including correspondence, diaries, ledgers, memorabilia, photographs, publications, and scrapbooks. The collection contains the papers of the Honorable John Fausold (1808-1884) who served the State of Pennsylvania in numerous public offices for 55 years. - Patricia Hilliard-Robertson: A tribute to IUP's astronaut. Dr. Hilliard-Robertson graduated from IUP in 1985 (see Manuscript Group 144).
- Indiana County in the Civil War: see digitized Civil War materials from the IUP Libraries' Special Collections and University Archives, and the Historical and Genealogical Society of Indiana County. - IUP Publications: commencement programs, serials, student handbooks, Board of Trustees Meeting Minutes, and yearbooks.
- Labor History Lectures by Dr. Irwin Marcus: Dr. Marcus is professor emeritus of the History Department at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
- Logan Moorhead Collection: This collection includes the Civil War letters that were written by brothers Robert Alexander Lowry and William Gustin Lowry, both of whom died during the Civil War, and the Civil War diary of their mother Rhoda Stone Lowry. These collections were donated by Logan Moorhead (1921-2017) see Manuscript Group 130.
- Mary Harris "Mother" Jones: Mother Jones visited Indiana County, Pennsylvania, during the 1921 coal strike for unionization.
- Mining Injuries and Fatalities in Berwind-White Coal Mining Company Mines
- Norvelt in Westmoreland County and Penn-Craft in Fayette County, Pennsylvania: Subsistence Homestead Communities of the 1930s.
- 1856 Peelor map of Indiana County, Pennsylvania: This is one of the earliest maps of Indiana County, and it was designed by David Peelor (1811-1895).
- Pennsylvania Coal Culture: articles, essays, primary sources, and websites about coal mining life in western Pennsylvania.
- Photographs and Images: Historic images and photographs of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Indiana County, and western Pennsylvania.
- Remembering the 1906 Strike for Union in Windber, Pennsylvania. On April 2, 1906, as many as 5,000 Windber area miners publicly demonstrated their desire to join the United Mine Workers of America.
- Rhoda Stone Lowry Civil War Diary: donated by Logan R. Moorhead (1921-2017) see Manuscript Group 130.
- John P. Saylor: Conservationist in Congress. Congressman Saylor (1908-1973) represented Western Pennsylvania in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1949 until his death.
