There are many ways to help your alma mater:
Represent Your Alma Mater at College Fairs
For high school students investigating IUP, alumni are the most valuable resource. Your valuable insight could help someone choose IUP. Volunteer in your region to represent IUP at hotel or college fairs. Register as an alumni student recruitment volunteer.
Know Someone Who Wants to Come to IUP?
Make a difference in the future of someone you know and invest in the success of your alma mater at the same time. IUP is looking for bright, hardworking students from your community to consider for admission to IUP. Simply nominate a potential IUP student, and the Admissions office will contact him or her with all of the information needed to make this important decision. Nominate a potential IUP student.
Become a Mentor
Calling all alumni! Today’s students face many decisions and challenges when reviewing their career options. One of the most challenging changes a student may face is the transition from campus to a job opportunity in a major metropolitan area. This is where your insight and experience can be a valuable resource to our graduating seniors as well as other IUP alumni who are making new career choices. Volunteer now to become a mentor. Get Connected in Your City
IUP is on the road and working to visit cities across the United States that have a high concentration of alumni. Our current plan includes visiting Harrisburg, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Atlanta, Charlotte, Houston, Dallas, Southern Florida, New York City, Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco. We welcome volunteers to help in these regions and other regions around the country.
Regional volunteers can also host a “First Thursday” event to bring alumni together. The Alumni Association will provide materials and e-mail communications to help publicize your event. Let us know if we can count on your support!
