If you are ready to apply to IUP for the fall 2016 semester, consider attending a Decision Day, where you can apply and learn your admissions decision* on the same day! Read the Frequently Asked Questions to learn more about who should attend and what you can expect!

To Get a Decision

In order to receive a decision on the day that you visit, you will need to follow these steps:

  • At least one week prior to visit:
    • Apply online (fall 2016 application will become available on the website on July 1, 2015)
    • Submit application fee (at time of application)
  • Required items to bring with you (or to send at least one week prior) to the Decision Day program:
    • Official, sealed high school transcripts
    • ACT/SAT scores (either on high school transcript or official ACT/SAT score report)
    • Transfer students only: Official, sealed college transcripts. High school seniors taking college courses do not need to bring a college transcript to get a decision.

The admissions committee will review your application materials while you are touring campus. You will receive a decision* at the end of your visit.

*Please note: Students applying to the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology major will not receive admission decisions on Decision Day. Please read the FAQ section for more information.

Who Should Come

All visitors are welcome on a Decision Day, regardless of whether you plan to apply. This event includes all of the features of our regular weekday visits.

How and When to Register

Registration is required. Please register by clicking the gold button above. If there’s more than one prospective student in your group, please register each individually, but include any adults and other guests in the registration of only one student.

We suggest that you register as soon as possible because these events often reach capacity far in advance. After you submit the registration form, confirmation materials will be e-mailed to both the student e-mail address and parent e-mail address (if provided) listed on the registration form. Please complete the registration form using the student’s information and student’s e-mail address.
