Ninety Hispanic students from three highs schools in Philadelphia willl be invited to this one-day conference-style event providing information on and assistance with the college search process from IUP faculty and staff.

Minority Visit Program (MVP) Weekend

This overnight visit program is for students of color who've demonstrated excellence in academics and community involvement. Come for a campus stay and talk with staff and student leaders about academic programs, admissions requirements, scholarship and grant opportunities, and much more. 

For Students in Western Pennsylvania

April 17:
Western PA Conference on Higher Education for Minority Students

IUP, Indiana, PA 15705

This one-day conference-style event informs students about and assists them with the college search process. Students from highs schools in western Pennsylvania will be invited to attend. You'll select from a variety of seminars on college exploration and application led by experienced IUP faculty and staff. 

Penn State Talent Search

This nonprofit organization works closely with junior and senior high school students in preparing them for college in the Pittsburgh area. Typically transportation is paid for by each organization, while IUP provides lunch, a tour of the campus, and an admission presentation. Students complete inquiry cards and fill out applications information. Eighty-four students are expected to attend.

Admissions Office staff and minority faculty members from various academic departments at IUP will visit selected high schools in Western Pennsylvania to meet with prospective students who have an interest IUP.
