International Student Admission
When submitting the application, make sure to select both a first- and second-choice major. If you are not admissible to your first choice, we will consider you for your second option. If you submit improved transcripts and/or SAT scores with a request to be reconsidered for your first major, we will re-review your application and make any necessary changes, provided you’ve met the requirements and space is available. You do not need to reapply.
If you are still deciding, please choose the major(s) in which you are most interested at the time of your application. If you are truly undecided, choose an undecided major in the academic college that includes most of your interests; each college has an undecided major. You will be able to choose a major in a different college in the future should your interests change.
If you are interested in secondary education, look for your major according to the subject you intend to teach, or select undecided within the college that is most closely aligned with your interests, not Undeclared Teacher Education.
If you are interested in a major that does not appear on this list, please contact the Undergraduate Admissions Office for assistance.
Admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis (except for Safety, Health, and Environmental Applied Sciences and Speech Language Pathology and Audiology). May 1 is the deposit deadline for securing your place in the class for the academic school year beginning in the Fall; your deposit of $150 indicates your intention to enroll at IUP and prompts the mailing of information regarding housing and orientation. IUP will continue to accommodate students after May 1 as space permits.
