International Admissions

Several IUP offices are responsible for the admission of international students. Once a student is admitted to IUP, the Office of International Education will create an immigration document for the student and mail him or her an admission packet. Please see the following links for an explanation of the application requirements and process. If you have additional questions, please e-mail intel-education@iup.edu.

Applying

Exchange Students: IUP has exchange agreements with more than fifty universities worldwide.
American Language Institute: Students who want more intensive English study can attend the American Language Institute.
Undergraduate Students: Helpful information for undergraduate international students wanting to apply to IUP

Graduate Students: Information for international students on the admission process for graduate programs at IUP
Culinary School: International Education handles all immigration documents for admitted international students, including admissions to the Academy of Culinary Arts.
Deferring Admission to IUP: All newly admitted international students who are unable to report to IUP by the scheduled start date can defer their admission to the next academic semester.

Preparing

Express Mailing of Admissions Package: International students may wish to have their admissions packages express mailed to them.
Arrival Checklist: The IUP Office of International Education will create an immigration document (I-20 or DS-2019) and mail an acceptance packet to international students.

Financial Assistance and Partial Tuition Waiver: Partial tuition waivers are allocated to international students based on financial need.
