Culinary Open House

  • You’ll have many opportunities to meet and talk with current students and faculty in this Saturday program.

    Your visit begins at the IUP Fairman Centre in Punxsutawney.

    8:30 a.m.  Check-in 

    9:00 a.m.  Program begins

    • Listen to a presentation on our culinary program and degree options, externships, career opportunities, and more.
    • Tour our culinary and baking kitchen laboratories and watch a cooking demonstration by our chef instructors.
    • Sample sweet and savory snacks at our food stations and indulge in a specialty coffee.
    • Get the info you need in Q&A sessions with our chefs and current students.
    • Watch the IUP Ice Carving Club in action, advised by Chef Thomas Barnes and Chef Martha J. Rupert.
    • Get a close-up look at award-winning sugar and chocolate showpieces created by our Baking and Pastry faculty Chef Hilary DeMane and Chef Anthony Battaglia.
    • Talk with admissions staff about the application process, financial aid, scholarships, housing, and more.

    Optional: Tour our campus housing and Learning Center; see our computer labs, library, fitness center, suite-style campus housing, and dining facility.

    Register online or contact us at culinary-arts@iup.edu or by phone at 800-438-6424. Please provide your name, address, phone number, year of high school graduation, and the number of guests planning to attend.

    Print a copy of our Directions to Fairman Centre. We will also mail you a confirmation letter with a map and general driving directions.
