Applications for Fall 2013
Submit the Culinary Application if you intend to study Culinary Arts, Culinary Arts and Baking and Pastry Arts or Culinary Arts combined with the B.S. degree programs in Hospitality Management, Nutrition or Dietetics.
Here’s What You Need to Do:
- Application: Apply electronically or submit a paper application.
- $50 application fee. (Online application requires payment by MasterCard or Discover. Paper application fee can be paid by check or money order payable to IUP. )
- High school transcript or GED scores (official copies).
- Postsecondary transcripts (official copies). These are required if you have attended any postsecondary program for a semester or longer.
- Campus visit. A visit to the culinary campus is required unless your permanent residence is more than three hundred miles from Punxsutawney.
Optional:
- SAT/ACT scores (official copies) are preferred but not required.
- Personal essay (Essay prompt: Would you like to share who or what inspired you to study culinary arts?)
- Recommendations
Your admission decision to Culinary Arts will be made within two weeks after we receive all of the required application pieces and any additional documentation requested. (An essay, recommendation, and/or entrance exam may be required if we need more information to make an admissions decision.)
