Apply to Culinary Arts

  • Applications for Fall 2017

    Submit the Culinary Application if you intend to study Culinary Arts, Culinary Arts and Baking and Pastry Arts, or if you wish to combine Culinary Arts with the BS degree programs in Hospitality Management, Nutrition, or Family Consumer Science Education.

    Here’s What You Need to Do:

    1. Application: Apply electronically or submit a paper application.
    2. $25 application fee. Submit your fee during the online application process. If using paper application, fee can be paid in the IUP Marketplace by selecting Culinary Admissions Application Fee or by mailing a check or money order payable to IUP.
    3. Do you have an application fee waiver form? In the payment section on the electronic application, enter the form type: SAT, ACT or NAC (for NACAC) in the Promo Code field.
    4. High school transcript or GED scores (official copies).
    5. Postsecondary transcripts (official copies). These are required if you have attended any postsecondary program for a semester or longer.

    Baking and Pastry StudentOptional:

    • SAT/ACT scores (official copies) are preferred but not required.
    • Personal essay (Essay prompt: Would you like to share who or what inspired you to study culinary arts?)
    • Recommendations

    Your admission decision to Culinary Arts will be made within two weeks after we receive all of the required application pieces and any additional documentation requested. (An essay, recommendation, and/or entrance exam may be required if we need more information to make an admissions decision.)
