Thank you for your interest in exploring the Sakai Learning Management System.

The ACPAC Online Learning Subcommittee is working to define and implement an on-line learning model that includes a list of supported technologies and support for those technologies. Working with IT Services, a primary task of the subcommittee is to review and select a new Learning Management System (LMS) for use at IUP.

The duration of this evaluation will run from November 12, 2007 to November 12, 2008; however, the Sakai pilot system will remain online until December 19, 2008, at which time the system will be decommissioned without data archival. Evaluation comments must be received by November 12, 2008.

This system is for experimental purposes only and may be temporarily taken offline at any time to perform review-related configuration activities.

Please note, WebCT 4.x is currently in production as the Learning Management System (LMS) at IUP. Vendor support for WebCT 4.x will end on June 30, 2010. IT Services will continue to provide support for both WebCT 4.x and the new (to-be-determined) Learning Management System during the 2009-2010 transition. Areas that are currently developing materials within WebCT 4.x should continue to do so.
