The Adult and Community Education (ACE) department participates in the Graduate Student Assembly (GSA) by sending representatives to sit on this council. The GAS consists of student representative from all graduate programs and has important input into policies and decisions regarding graduate students at IUP.

Dr. Margaret Mahler was a founder and highly regarded professor of Adult and Community Education at IUP. The Margaret Mahler Foundation was established in her honor to support graduate students and recognize outstanding achievements of ACE graduate students.
