What You Can Do With Your Accounting Degree

  • Nicole Miller with letter

GOING TO ERNST & YOUNG:  Accounting student Nicole Miller ’14, holds a job offer letter from Ernst & Young. “I’m so glad I came to IUP. Thanks to my classes, I felt very prepared to start my career.”

Accounting gives you a variety of career opportunities

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that employment of accountants and auditors is expected to grow faster than the average for all job categories. Furthermore, continued globalization of business, increased government regulations, and heightened scrutiny from stockholders will only lead to a greater need for accountants, auditors, and those who pay close attention to a company’s finances.

As an accounting major, you can design your curriculum for multiple accounting career options.
