Friday, March 16, 2012, at 4:00 p.m. is the deadline for students to file grade appeals for coursework taken during the Fall 2011 semester.

After a thorough discussion, including much input from the IUP community, the Commencement Committee, in conjunction with the Council of Chairs, the President's Cabinet, and the deans, has determined that Spring Commencement will take place on May 12 as two ceremonies in the Kovalchick Athletic and Convention Complex.

This update is the first of several periodic messages intended to keep the university community aware of the progress and actions related to the faculty workforce plan.

Dr. Katherine Cummings of Western Michigan University will demonstrate how to sustain effective assessment programs in the face of the multiple demands on our time on Friday, October 7, 2:00–4:00 p.m., at the Crimson Event Center.

IUP has submitted the required Periodic Review Report to its accrediting body, the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.

The undergraduate Liberal Studies program is in the process of being revised, but students should continue to register for classes according to the current Liberal Studies requirements and the academic advice of their advisors.

IUP’s accrediting body, the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, requires that the university submit a Periodic Review Report midway between the major ten-year accreditation visits.
