The Academic Affairs Division provides organizational support and leadership for the academic programs of Indiana University of Pennsylvania. This division includes each college within the university, as well as several programs that are not specific to a single college.
The provost and vice president for Academic Affairs, the senior officer next to the president, supervises the work of the provost, administration, and deans. Specific responsibilities include providing leadership for academic planning and program development; administration of academic policies and standards; advising the president concerning tenure, promotion and leaves; the selection of faculty and staff, in cooperation with departmental faculty, chairpersons and deans; and the development and supervision of the budget for Academic Affairs.
