University Accreditation

IUP holds university accreditation through the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, the accrediting body for schools in the Mid-Atlantic region on behalf of the U.S. Department of Education.

IUP has held accreditation consecutively since its first MSCHE review in 1941. Accreditation takes place on a decennial basis. IUP Middle States Accreditation 2015 is now underway.
