Learn the secret to getting in shape and make other life-enriching discoveries in new courses and old favorites in the noncredit Community University Studies program. Fall 2012 courses start this week, and registration is now open.

People of all ages who'd like to add a new dimension to their life may participate. There are no exams or grades, and courses are led by instructors who enjoy sharing their expertise with people from all walks of life.

Courses are offered at the Northpointe and Indiana campuses.

In the new course "How to Get in Shape,” Professor Erick Lauber explains that physical fitness is a matter of self-improvement, not just body changes, and teaches small adjustments in thinking that can have lasting results.

A new course on intermediate guitar instruction is offered by Professor Eric Rubenstein, who's played with a number of bands and whose instruction videos have attracted a following on YouTube.

Fencing, Italian, and drawing and painting courses offer more ways to enrich your life, starting this fall.

Community University Studies is a program of Adult and Continuing Education at IUP.
