Please recommend the Entrepreneur-in-Training Camp to any Indiana County High School Students!

Additional Information:

This year, the IUP Excellence in Entrepreneurial Leadership Center (ExcEL Center), in conjunction with Junior Achievement of Western PA, will be holding the first ever Entrepreneur-in-Training Camp available to Indiana County high school students.

This one-week commuter camp is being offered to incoming high school freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors, and even graduating seniors. A commuter camp, the Entrepreneur-in-Training Camp will expose aspiring future business leaders to a variety of business concepts such as leadership, business planning, and financial management, while also teaching them to “think outside the box.” Students who participate in the Entrepreneur-in-Training Camp will have the opportunity to hear from successful entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and other business professionals, while they compete in groups for various prizes, including cash. The camp lasts from 9:00 to 3:30 from June 22 until June 26.

I encourage you to recommend this camp to any high school student you believe would benefit from this experience. It is a wonderful opportunity for any student who is interested in business. For our inaugural year, we are fortunate enough to offer this day camp free of charge to any student that is accepted into the program.

Dries bvdries 2009-01-27T14:54:00Z The nineteenth American Society for Competitiveness (ASC) annual conference in Orlando, Florida, was cosponsored by the Eberly College of Business and Information Technology. The conference attracted academicians and practitioners from all over the country. Dr. Prashanth Bharadwaj was the academic program chair. Dr. Abbas Ali and Dr. Robert Camp, the cofounders of the ASC, actively participated in the conference as keynote speakers and presenters.

The second annual MANage intercollegiate business competition was conducted at PES, IUP’s partner institution in Bangalore, India. A group of thirteen students from Eberly represented IUP in the competitions that attracted over fifty business school teams in various business areas. IUP’s team won second prize overall while finishing first in the Human Resource area and second in both advertising and business quiz competitions. Dr. Prashanth Bharadwaj and Mr. Eric Palmer accompanied the students as advisors.
