The IUP Health Service announces a new web page where students can submit health history and immunization information.

The Health Service transitioned to electronic medical records in 2011. Students can now enter information regarding their health history and immunization status electronically via this web link.

Only currently registered students will be able to submit information to their electronic medical records via this link.

The page will ask for the IUP username and password to enter the site. Once on the page, read the instructions and submit the information only when you have completed the form. This page will also allow you to view and print the immunizations that you have on file with the Health Service whenever you choose.

We realize many students have submitted this information previously on paper, and the Health Service will continue to maintain those records. However, this method will allow easier, more timely access to your health history and immunization status in the event you visit the Health Service.

Contact us by email or telephone if there are any questions.

Health Service Converts to Electronic Medical Records

The IUP Health Service will be converting to an electronic medical records system beginning with the Fall semester 2011.

The IUP Health Service will be converting to an electronic medical records system beginning with the Fall semester 2011.

After careful consideration, we have selected the Point and Click Solutions EHR system and have made the necessary technical and hardware changes. Point and Click is being used in other PASSHE health centers and specializes in college and university settings.

While we provide the same great personal care, be patient with us as we learn to utilize the system to its maximum potential. All previous records will be maintained and gradually converted to electronic format. Students who have never been to the Health Service will begin with an electronic record which will be maintained indefinitely.

It will be imperative to have your IUP I-card to log in at the reception window, as the login process will also be automated and updated.

As the system becomes fully integrated over the first year, students will be able to look online and schedule certain types of visits, while walk-in visits such as illness and injury are still available. Certain types of visits, including physicals and women's health issues, are already available as an appointment by calling the office. Health history forms and immunization records are still vitally important to have on record with the Health Service. Eventually, student health history records and immunization records will be entered via a Web portal available to all students and will be automatically available to the providers at a visit.

This type of electronic system will provide the highest quality of record keeping, while still allowing for the personal attention given to patients in our Health Service setting. As usual, if any student has a concern, especially at the time of their visit, they can ask to speak to the director.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we move our healthcare forward!
