It provides students with an opportunity to increase their interactions, involvement, and learning about and with people of diverse backgrounds. Students can earn points, a Diversity Certificate, and raffle tickets that will give them a chance to winning prizes. All participants will be invited to attend the Award's Program on May 2, 2013.

| AACC, B23 Delaney Hall The AHCANA Essay Contest provides students with an opportunity to win a $250 Gift Card by submitting a 2-3 page, typed essay that reflects on the theme: Imagining Racial/Ethnic Diversity 2050: Implications, Thoughts, and Recommendations Concerning the Predicted New Majority Population Composition (Africans/African Americans, Hispanics, Caucasians, Asians, and Native Americans). Guidelines are available for to assist with writing the essay. The contest runs April 26, 2013 and are due at the AACC Office by 4 p.m. on that day in B23 Delaney Hall. 12:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m. | Kipp Gallery, Sprowls Hall This exhibit features the work of Wisconsin-based artist Chele Isaac, which utilizes multi-channel video projections, sound, and sculpture to examine themes of migration, dislocation, and the search for identity. The exhibit will run February 21-March 21, 2013. Dates are subject to change. The Kipp Gallery is located in Sprowls Hall. Weekly gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday from noon to 4:00 p.m. (NOTE: This exhibit replaces the previously scheduled exhibit by Natalie Settles.) |

On Thursday, March 7, Dr. Elizabeth Barstow of Wofford College will present "'Not a Duet, But a Trio': Romantic Relationships in American Evangelical Culture, 1945-1965." The talk will be held in McElhaney 206 at 3:30-4:45 p.m., and all members of the campus community are invited to attend. Dr. Barstow is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Religion at Wofford College, and was invited by IUP's Department of Religious Studies. |
