Tuesday, October 23, 2012
11:45 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Lower Level of Ackerman
This Tuesday, the Allenwood would like to cordially invite you to Dine with the Mafia. Appetizer: “Big Al Capone’s Secret” Caesar Salad: Crisp romaine lettuce tossed with a house Caesar dressing, if we told you the recipe, we’d have to kill you! Bread: “Godfather’s” Focaccia Bread: So good it should be a crime, freshly prepared Focaccia bread with onions baked right inside; Entrée: “Mad Dog” Marsala: There are three sides to every story; mine, yours, and the truth. We wouldn’t lie to you when we say this chicken breast accompanied by sautéed mushrooms and smothered with a creamy Marsala wine sauce is the best; “Rat Pack” Risotto: We didn’t need a license to steal to get this recipe out of Italy, a traditional Parmesan Risotto, which we know you’ll make disappear fast; “Capo’s” Carrots Vichy: You’ll love these tender slow cooked carrots with butter and a hint of sugar, and that’s a promise! Vegetarian Option: “Bust a Cap” Stuffed Mushrooms: parmesan and spinach stuffed Portobello Mushroom that will really silence a room! Dessert: “Jimmy Two Times Tiramisu” Tiramisu: Make a wish, and it’ll be your last course. Enjoy whipped topping, a smidgen of coffee, and dust of cocoa powder all on top of a layered bed of lady fingers, that is truly to die for; “Leave the gun, take the Cannoli” Chocolate Covered Cannolis: We know how to pack the heat. A cannoli shell fried to perfection then loaded with a delectable creamy filling and topped with a drizzle of chocolate; Specialty Beverage: “A Goodfellas” Glass of Vino: We’d be sleeping with the fishes if we didn’t offer you a glass of wine with this meal. Relax with a chilled glass filled with non-alcoholic sparkling concord wine. Cost: $6.95 All-Inclusive. Reservations are not necessary, but recommended. For reservations, please call the Department of Hospitality Management office at 724-357-2626. For further information, please contact Linda Sullivan @ Linda.Sullivan@iup.edu. |
